Director, PDS Projects – QA/QC

About the role

The Director of PDS Projects – QA/QC will lead the quality assurance and control function across mixed‑use, commercial, retail and hotel construction projects. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all works meet the highest standards of workmanship, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) and project‑specific QA/QC plans.
• Lead, mentor and supervise site QA/QC inspectors, engineers and supervisors.
• Conduct internal and external audits to verify compliance with specifications, codes and standards such as ISO 9001 and ASME.
• Approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and material submittals; ensure proper documentation and record‑keeping.
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients, consultants and third‑party agencies on quality matters.
• Identify risks, monitor construction activities and manage the closure of Non‑Compliance Reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate receipt inspections of materials and evaluate subcontractor quality performance.

Required profile

• 15–20 years of QA/QC experience in construction, with 5–10 years in senior supervisory or management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015 preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of construction codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO).
• Expertise in non‑destructive testing and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in preparing and approving Inspection and Test Plans, method statements and material submittals.
