Director of Software Engineering

About the role

Litmos is building a Learning Acceleration Platform that helps organisations develop capability faster. As Director of Software Engineering you will create and lead the India engineering hub, shaping how software is built and ensuring high‑impact delivery for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale a high‑performing engineering team in India, owning the full hiring lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, creating clear career growth pathways.
• Ensure the India team integrates seamlessly with the global engineering organisation, aligning on roadmap priorities and collaboration practices.
• Own and continuously improve engineering processes across the software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Provide technical direction on C#/.NET development, Azure cloud architecture and Azure DevOps pipelines, and drive resolution of technical debt.
• Partner with product management to translate roadmap priorities into engineering plans and deliver features on time and with quality.

Required profile

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in engineering leadership.
• Hands‑on background in C# and .NET development and deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Proven track record building and scaling engineering teams in a high‑growth SaaS environment.
• Experience leading distributed, globally integrated teams and establishing effective cross‑timezone collaboration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
