Director - Employee Relations

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an experienced Director of Employee Relations to lead its Global Employee Relations team. The role partners closely with People Business Partners, employment counsel, and compliance functions to ensure a culture of fairness and decency across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on company policies, processes, and employee relations matters to managers and employees.
• Collaborate with internal counsel, compliance, and business stakeholders to manage investigations and resolve employee issues.
• Conduct investigations into discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace concerns, documenting findings and recommendations.
• Maintain case management records from intake through resolution and generate periodic reports for senior leadership.
• Support APAC region with guidance on performance management, M&A, TUPE, disciplinary actions, absence management, and termination risk.
• Partner with control functions on investigations and outcomes, and use data insights to improve processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in employee relations, preferably within a large, global organization.
• Strong knowledge of local employment law and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and manage complex employee issues.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple geographies.
