Director / CEO – India Operations (Biofuels)

About the role

The Director / CEO – India Operations will lead the Indian subsidiary of an Austrian family business operating in the bio‑feedstock and biofuels sector. Reporting to the Group Board in Austria, the role combines strategic leadership, operational oversight, and stakeholder management to drive growth and profitability across India.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the India business strategy, ensuring revenue, profitability and KPI targets are met.
• Expand the Used Cooking Oil collection network and strengthen market position within the renewable energy ecosystem.
• Own the full P&L, manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow and ensure financial governance aligns with group standards.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations including procurement, logistics, vendor management and supply‑chain efficiency.
• Lead a workforce of 200+ employees, fostering a high‑performance culture and implementing robust internal controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry partners and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience, preferably as a CEO, Managing Director or equivalent.
• Strong international exposure, having lived, studied or worked in Europe.
• Proven track record in P&L responsibility, financial oversight and operational scaling.
• Ability to travel extensively across India and periodically to Austria.
