Direct Tax Professional – India (AP Region)

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Direct Tax Professional to lead and support all direct tax activities for its India entities within the Asia‑Pacific region. Reporting to the Direct Tax Lead, you will ensure compliance, manage tax risks and contribute to strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyse direct and international tax issues, providing technical advice to stakeholders.
• Prepare and file income‑tax returns, TDS/TCS filings and related statutory forms.
• Manage tax audits, inquiries and controversies, using data analytics to resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor changes in Indian tax legislation and assess impact on the Group’s tax position.
• Collaborate with legal, finance and business teams on transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Drive process‑improvement and automation projects to enhance tax compliance accuracy.
• Deliver tax‑related training and support to internal teams.
• Lead ad‑hoc tax initiatives across the Asia‑Pacific‑Japan region as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field; Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
• 4‑6 years of experience in direct and international taxation, focusing on India.
• Experience in a professional services or consulting environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Indian corporate income tax, TDS, TCS and related regulations.
