Dietary Aide (Student) – Part‑Time

About the role

Caressant Care is seeking a motivated student to join our retirement home in Arthur, Ontario as a part‑time Dietary Aide. You will support the food service team in delivering safe, nutritious meals to our residents while gaining valuable experience in a caring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, portioning, and delivery of meals according to resident dietary requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of food items.
• Support residents during mealtimes, providing courteous assistance as needed.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including vulnerable sector screening requirements.

Required profile

• Current student status (must meet the "student" credential requirement).
• Food Safety Handler Training certification.
• Ability to work with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong communication skills in English (reading and writing).
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work scheduled shifts.

Required skills

• Food Safety Handler Training Program knowledge.
