DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer – GCP

About the role

TradesApp is seeking an experienced DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve its cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to automate operations, monitor performance, and ensure high‑availability deployments for a fast‑growing platform in India.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, and GKE.
• Implement container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions (or CircleCI) to automate testing, building, and deployment.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting using Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
• Administer and optimise MongoDB instances, handling backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with Indian data protection regulations.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform or Ansible and create custom scripts in Python or Bash.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development and QA teams throughout the software lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience as a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with distributed teams.
• Legal authorization to work in India.
