DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer (GCP)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer to design, implement and maintain our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The role works closely with development, QA and IT teams to automate operations, monitor performance and ensure reliable deployments for a fast‑growing platform in India.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage scalable infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run and GKE.
• Implement container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or similar) to automate testing, building and deployment.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus and New Relic.
• Administer MongoDB instances, implement backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with Indian data protection regulations.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform or Ansible and develop custom scripts in Python or Bash.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to support the software development lifecycle and resolve infrastructure issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or similar roles.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP services and container technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in India.
