Developer Relations Engineer – Community Manager

About the role

Sarvam is building India’s sovereign AI platform and needs a passionate Developer Relations Engineer to own its developer community. You will run the Discord server, design community programs such as hackathons and workshops, and ensure every developer has a great experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Discord community: moderation, onboarding flows, channel structure, and routing questions to the right experts.
• Design and execute community programs including hackathons, meetups, office hours, workshops, and campus outreach.
• Identify and recognize top contributors, providing them visibility and growth opportunities.
• Drive community growth through partnerships with colleges, developer groups, and other dev‑tool ecosystems.
• Serve as the voice of the community by synthesising feedback for engineering, product, and DevRel teams.
• Track community health metrics (activity, retention, response times, NPS) and act on insights.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in community management, developer programs, or a related role, preferably in devtools, developer platforms, or open‑source ecosystems.
• Proven track record of building a community from scratch and scaling it to thousands of active members.
• Strong empathy for developers, able to spot friction points and champion solutions.
