Design Engineer – Powertrain (PWT)

About the role

Expleo is seeking a Design Engineer specialized in Powertrain (PWT) to join its engineering team in India. You will be responsible for creating detailed part designs, ensuring technical alignment, and supporting product documentation throughout the development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design parts in 2D, 3D and perform simulations.
• Define assembly constraints, create assembly drawings and ensure technical convergence.
• Assist in creating and managing design files and digital mock‑ups, including packaging.
• Update product drawings with 3D annotations and archive them in the information system.
• Validate design feasibility by applying product and process constraints during design reviews.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering with knowledge of automobile parts.
• 3‑5 years of experience in powertrain component design.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CATIA.
• Good knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack‑up.
• Familiarity with power electronics or electric vehicle powertrain concepts (preferred).
