Design Engineer – Outfitting (Piping)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer specialized in piping outfitting for shipbuilding and offshore platforms. The role involves creating detailed 3D models and drawings, collaborating closely with the design team and clients, and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and related drawings using ship design software such as Cadmatic, ShipConstructor or AVEVA Marine.
• Interpret PFDs, P&IDs, procurement specifications and prepare isometric, arrangement and production‑stage models.
• Apply international piping standards (API, DIN, ASME, BS/EN) to new builds and retrofit projects.
• Prepare bills of material, weight calculations and pipe‑support fabrication drawings.
• Review vendor documents, datasheets and calculations for accuracy.
• Support on‑site activities at client locations, domestically or internationally, on short notice.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with a postgraduate qualification in Piping.
• Up to 7 years of total experience, including up to 4 years hands‑on with 3D ship design software.
• Proven experience in ship outfitting (piping) design or shipyard projects.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to develop technical expertise.
• Commitment to a minimum one‑year service period and readiness to relocate to Goa.
