Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a creative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our fast‑growing company. You will work within a multicultural engineering team, delivering design solutions for local and overseas sister companies.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret design briefs and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Create 2D/3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Prepare General Arrangement drawings, layouts, and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Update design submittals per client requirements and obtain approvals.
• Prepare complete manufacturing packages, including detailed drawings, sub‑assemblies, weld maps, and sheet‑metal cutting layouts.
• Document designs effectively and present technical information to other disciplines.
• Calculate and analyse equipment safety according to Indian and international standards (IS 800, AISC, AWWA).
• Collaborate with a globally distributed team and adapt to changing project needs.

Required profile

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of CAD/design engineering experience in the manufacturing domain.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards such as welding, sheet‑metal, fits and tolerances.
• Experience preparing structural and fluid design calculations (Excel) and performing FEA analysis.
