Design Engineer III – DS / Wireline

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to lead the mechanical design and development of Wireline and Drilling service products in the oil & gas sector. The role covers the full product lifecycle from concept and CAD modeling through prototyping, testing and manufacturing support, working closely with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems from concept to production.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor, Creo, DraftSight/AutoCAD and manage data in Windchill PLM.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis and design verification.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, Bills of Materials and product records.
• Support Windchill PLM activities including data loading, model cleanup and part file management.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, CAD analysts, project leads, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Define project scope, monitor schedules and deliver engineering deliverables on time.
• Provide manufacturing support during prototyping, testing and production implementation.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, engineering standards and quality requirements.
• Report project status and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in oil & gas wireline or drilling services.
• Proven ability to work independently on routine engineering issues and to escalate complex challenges.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
