Design Engineer – Hull Outfitting & Furnishing

About the role

The Hull Outfitting (HO) / Furnishing Design Engineer will lead the end‑to‑end design, 3D modelling, documentation and production support of hull outfitting and accommodation systems. You will work closely with OEMs, procurement, inter‑design departments and production teams to ensure smooth execution from concept to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D models for accommodation items (furniture, equipment, doors, etc.) and outfitting components using Cadmatic.
• Develop basic and detailed layouts, arrangements and detailed drawings, including Bill of Materials (BOM) for accommodation and HO systems.
• Draft specifications and trial documentation (SOTR & trial documents).
• Evaluate OEM offers, provide technical clearance and coordinate order placement.
• Collaborate with design teams to obtain model clearances and ensure inter‑departmental alignment.
• Provide technical assistance during manufacturing and installation phases.

Required profile

• Proven experience in 3D modelling and design of hull outfitting or accommodation systems.
• Ability to prepare detailed drawings, layouts and BOMs.
• Experience interacting with OEMs, procurement and cross‑functional design teams.
• Capability to support production and installation activities.
