Design Engineer (Civil) – Substation, PV & BESS

About the role

The Design Engineer (Civil) will lead the analysis and design of civil and structural works for AIS substations ranging from 132 kV to 500 kV, as well as related PV and BESS facilities. The role requires close interaction with local authorities, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet regulatory and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review design documents, detailed engineering drawings, and structural calculations for steel, precast, and RCC elements.
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical disciplines, as well as site teams and clients, to obtain drawing approvals and resolve technical queries.
• Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material specifications, and design basis reports for client approval.
• Optimize structural quantities to meet bidding constraints while satisfying client specifications.
• Review vendor engineering documents, fabrication drawings, and ensure compliance with local (KMK, GOST, SHNK) and international standards.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural/Geotech/Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in substation switchyard, power transmission, PV or BESS projects.
• Proven ability to handle site grading, embankments, tower‑girder foundations, control‑room structures, water tanks, and related civil works.

Required skills

• STAAD, ETABS, CONCISE BEAM, LIRA SAPR for structural analysis.
• AutoCAD and Revit for drawing production (Revit optional).
• Tekla for structural detailing.
• Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting.
