Design Engineer – Automotive Connectors

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the design and development of automotive connectors. You will work in the BGSW, ADU campus in Bangalore, creating parametric models, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation for high‑quality connector solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive connectors, from concept generation to final production drawings.
• Create independent parametric models and detailed manufacturing, offer, and development drawings using UG NX and Teamcenter.
• Perform requirement analysis, focus matrix, tolerance stack‑up, and functional proof of connector assemblies.
• Conduct design calculations, benchmarking, specification comparison, and connector validation.
• Prepare technical customer documentation and implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR) on series parts.
• Generate material master data and BOMs in SAP.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 + years of relevant experience.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of thermoplastics, elastomers, metals, plating materials, and related manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, plating, assembly).
• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and tool design.
• Experience with connector test specifications and OEM requirements.

Required skills

• UG NX (CAD) and Teamcenter (PLM) – mandatory.
• SAP – material master and BOM creation.
• GD&T and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Airgap and creepage calculations (CAD Creo is a plus).
• Theoretical design calculations and benchmarking.
