Deputy/Manager – Supplier & Incoming Quality

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead supplier and incoming quality activities for Bosch Rexroth India’s manufacturing operations in Sanand. The role involves managing supplier quality, inspection, claim resolution and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, evaluation, auditing and development, including process, product, system and CSR audits.
• Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs, drive continuous improvement and manage quality claims and customer complaints.
• Oversee inspection and measurement of bought‑out parts, fabricated components, sheet metal and assemblies, and prepare quality assurance plans and inspection reports.
• Review and implement customer‑specific quality requirements, approve PPAP, ISIR/FPI and support new product development and supplier onboarding.
• Lead and develop a team of quality engineers and inspectors, handling resource planning, competency development and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Identify quality risks, drive Lean/Kaizen initiatives and promote a proactive quality culture throughout the supply chain.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑15 years of experience in supplier quality, incoming quality, manufacturing or project quality.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack‑up and measurement principles.
• Hands‑on experience with CMM, roundness tester, surface roughness tester, hardness tester, height gauge, profile projector and air gauge.
• Knowledge of heat‑treatment, surface‑treatment, welding & fabrication, sheet‑metal and machining processes.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC and QMS documentation.
