Deputy Manager - Transportation Scheduler

About the role

The Deputy Manager – Transportation Scheduler will own the TCT scheduling process, planning, organizing and optimizing shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery and efficient use of fleets and warehouses. You will work closely with carriers, warehouses and internal stakeholders to align on routes, capacity and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, optimize and schedule the most efficient shipment routes considering cost, transit time, fleet productivity and SLAs.
• Assign carriers to shipments based on company policies, contracts, route guides and capacity availability.
• Publish and maintain the final shipment “Trip Build” according to agreed cut‑off times.
• Collaborate with warehouses, carriers and customers to align pick‑up and delivery requirements.
• Ensure compliance with TCT scheduling processes and proper use of transportation planning technology.
• Monitor service and productivity objectives and make schedule adjustments as needed.

Required profile

• Engineering or Business university degree from a Tier 1 institution.
• 2–5 years of experience in transport planning or logistics operations.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or other logistics software.
