Deputy Manager – Purchasing

About the role

The Deputy Manager Purchase will support the procurement function by sourcing domestic and overseas suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role works closely with inventory, logistics, and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Research, onboard, and manage new suppliers and vendors.
• Source materials, goods, and services while negotiating cost‑effective contracts.
• Review inventory inspections with store teams and trigger timely re‑orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records of orders, payments, and received stock.
• Collaborate with PPC teams to follow up on delayed or rescheduled orders.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise the supply chain.
• Prepare monthly purchase reports for management review.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives across non‑BOM and departmental purchases.
• Provide guidance and support to the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals.

Required profile

• Experience in purchasing, supplier management, and inventory coordination.
• Ability to verify purchase orders and related documentation.
• Strong analytical skills for cost‑reduction and reporting.
