Deputy Manager – Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and seeks a Deputy Manager to lead the Payments and Merchant Acquiring function in Chandigarh. You will build a high‑performing team, drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments, and grow merchant volume across the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) to meet productivity targets.
• Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop and maintain distribution networks and channel relationships.
• Drive sales performance, retailer payment reconciliation and store activation initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.
• Maintain visibility at points of sale and monitor distribution coverage through effective FOS mapping.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (MBA 1‑4 years or graduate 3‑6 years acceptable).
• Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships and distribution roles in consumer durables, digital or LSF preferred.
• Strong communication, high energy, self‑starter attitude and passion for field work.
