Deputy Manager - Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR Acquiring business and seeks a Deputy Manager to build and lead a high‑performing team in the Pune‑Wakdewadi territory. You will own the end‑to‑end execution of QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments, driving merchant acquisition and transaction growth.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Acquire new merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments to increase GMV.
• Develop distribution channels, map coverage, and manage channel relationships.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions, ensure process rigor, and maintain payment reconciliation.
• Activate stores monthly and maintain visibility at points of sale.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (MBA 1‑4 years or Graduate 3‑6 years acceptable).
• Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, high energy and a self‑starter attitude.
• Passion for field work and meeting retailers.
