Deputy Manager – Payments & Merchant Acquiring

About the role
Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and needs a Deputy Manager to build and lead the operation in the Mumbai‑Thane territory. You will create a high‑performing field team, drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments, and grow merchant volume.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit, train and motivate a Field Operations Sales (FOS) team and monitor their productivity.
- Acquire new merchants and oversee QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
- Develop distribution channels, map coverage, and manage channel relationships.
- Drive sales targets, retailer payment reconciliation and monthly store activation.
- Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and ensure process rigor and controllership.
Required profile
- Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience (MBA 1‑4 years or Graduate 3‑6 years acceptable).
- Prior exposure to Payments, FMCG or Telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
- Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy for field work.
- Self‑starter with a passion for meeting retailers.
