Deputy General Manager – Logistics & Warehousing (India)

About the role

The Deputy General Manager – Logistics & Warehousing will lead the execution of the regional logistics strategy across India for new equipment, modernization and spare parts businesses. Reporting to the Director of APAC Logistics and Warehousing, the role oversees a $18M+ spend, collaborates with operations, finance, real‑estate and supply‑chain teams, and drives transformational projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide logistics leadership for the India CLC and field operations, managing distribution and warehousing spend of approximately $18 million.
• Monitor and report on logistics KPIs to ensure health of the ecosystem.
• Develop and execute regional transportation strategies aligned with global objectives, optimizing cost, capacity, quality, visibility, sustainability, safety and compliance.
• Implement logistics technologies (TMS, FBAP, WMS) through strategic partnerships.
• Deliver logistics, distribution and warehousing solutions for new equipment, modernization and spare parts at CLC and field levels.
• Set logistics savings and performance targets for transportation and distribution sub‑categories.
• Lead RFQ processes, negotiate contracts and manage master service agreements.
• Conduct regular business reviews, drive continuous improvement and mitigation plans with logistics and warehouse partners.
• Provide category reporting and business intelligence to senior management and cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field.
• 14 + years of logistics experience in India/APAC, including spend management and transformational initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑modal logistics (LTL, FTL, fleet, IML, ocean, air, parcel).
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 10‑20 % within India.
