Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer you will design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end data solutions that support the generation, collection and processing of data across the organisation. You will build robust data pipelines, ensure data quality and implement ETL processes to move data between systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor, optimise and troubleshoot data workflows for performance and reliability.
• Document data processes and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert and contribute to team discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data‑related roles, preferably within Data Science.
• At least 15 years of full‑time education.
• Ability to work independently and become a subject‑matter expert.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of data pipeline architecture and ETL process design.
• Experience with data quality assurance and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to handle large datasets and optimise data processing workflows.
• Understanding of cloud‑based data platforms and integration methods.
