Data Engineer – Cloud & Autonomous Driving

About the role

Join Bosch's Technology Powerhouse in India as a Data Engineer focused on cloud‑based data platforms for autonomous driving research. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance data pipelines that ingest sensor, simulation, and database feeds.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources, including vehicle sensors and simulations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, researchers, and engineers to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data storage, retrieval, governance, and security measures on Azure.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve performance.
• Explore emerging data technologies to enhance processing efficiency.
• Mentor junior data engineers.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Airflow.
• Azure cloud platform and related data services.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• TensorFlow, PyTorch (nice to have).
• Tableau, Matplotlib (nice to have).
• Docker, Kubernetes.
