Data Center Technician – Operations (DCO)

About the role

Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its Data Center Operations team. You will work on the front‑line of AWS’s global infrastructure, ensuring that servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment operate reliably for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Install and de‑install server racks and related hardware in the data‑center environment.
• Perform hardware break‑fix on servers, networking gear, power and cooling components.
• Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues affecting operational stability.
• Respond to emergent incidents, meet SLA targets and resolve trouble tickets through a defined workflow.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external partners (hardware vendors, contractors, service providers).

Required profile

• Strong interest in data‑center technologies and a passion for solving complex technical problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, on‑site operations team.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Hands‑on experience in hardware maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Server rack installation and cabling expertise.
• Network troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and SLA management.
