Data Center Technician (DCO) – Data Center Operations

About the role

Join Amazon's Data Center Operations team to maintain and expand the world’s largest cloud infrastructure. As a Data Center Technician you will work on server rack installation, hardware break‑fix, and network troubleshooting while supporting internal engineering teams and external service partners.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server racks and related hardware components.
• Perform hardware break‑fix on servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
• Serve as primary contact for internal customers (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external partners (hardware vendors, contractors, service providers).
• Track and resolve trouble tickets within defined SLAs using a directed workflow.

Required profile

• Experience with Linux operating systems in a data‑center environment.
• Hands‑on hardware engineering skills, including server and rack installation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal engineering teams and external service partners.
• Commitment to meeting service level agreements and maintaining operational stability.
