Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer will safeguard the organization’s digital assets by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls. You will work closely with IT and business teams to detect vulnerabilities, respond to incidents, and ensure continuous improvement of the security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security measures and controls for systems and sensitive data.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to uncover hardware, software, and network vulnerabilities.
• Monitor security access, perform regular system tests, and identify irregularities.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, investigate breaches, and resolve issues.
• Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Educate and train staff on information‑security standards and threat awareness.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of general cybersecurity experience.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on SOAR engineering experience, including building custom Python integrations and end‑to‑end playbooks.
• Experience in a security operations environment (SOC, detection, threat intel).
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

• NIST and ISO 27001 security frameworks
• Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools
• Network and web protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS
• Cortex XSOAR platform administration (RBAC, health monitoring, upgrades)
• Custom API integration and playbook development
