Cyber Security Architect/Engineer I

About the role

Honeywell is seeking a Cyber Security Architect/Engineer I to deliver on‑site cyber security services for industrial process control networks across multiple sectors, including oil & gas, power generation, and petrochemicals. The role involves consulting, troubleshooting, network design, implementation, and security assessments directly at customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Back‑Up Lead on assigned projects, ensuring timely and on‑budget delivery.
• Provide on‑site consulting, network design, and implementation for industrial control systems.
• Conduct vulnerability, risk, and security assessments using tools such as Nessus and NMAP.
• Maintain and update cyber security certifications and stay current with standards like IEC‑62443 and ISO 27001.
• Develop trusted relationships with internal and external customers by delivering accurate technical support.
• Ensure industrial safety compliance through relevant safety certifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of experience in networking, endpoint security, and IT security audits.
• Professional certifications: CCNA or CCNP (required), GICSP/CISSP (preferred), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of industrial security standards (IEC‑62443, ISA, NIST) and Australian ACSC guidelines.

Required skills

• Network design and security: Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VLAN, HSRP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, 802.1q.
• Security tools: Nessus, NMAP, SIEM, IDS/IPS, anti‑virus, backup & restore solutions.
• Virtualization: VMware.
• Microsoft technologies: Active Directory, DNS, WSUS, Terminal Server.
• Operating systems: Linux, Windows security basics.
• Process control system design and implementation knowledge.
