Customer Care Representative

About the role

The Customer Care Representative is an early‑ to mid‑career position within Hempel’s Customer Care organisation. You will act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams such as Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Technical Services, ensuring smooth order processing and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage large customer inquiries including quotations, order placement, tracking, delivery updates and product information.
• Handle customer complaints and support resolution of non‑technical issues.
• Perform end‑to‑end cross‑border sales order management in the ERP system, covering on‑time delivery, product substitutions, invoicing and return orders.
• Conduct outbound and inbound customer communication and maintain accurate customer data.
• Collaborate regularly with the commercial organisation on order‑related matters.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and global regulatory policies.

Required profile

• University or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer‑care or order‑to‑cash role.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional European language is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft ERP software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
