Custom Software Engineer

About the role

The Custom Software Engineer will design, develop, and enhance tailored software solutions using modern Python frameworks and agile practices. Working from our Mumbai office, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performing, scalable applications that meet specific business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and improve custom software components across systems and applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements for bespoke solutions.
• Maintain and optimise existing applications to boost performance and user experience.
• Document designs, processes, and code to facilitate future maintenance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Participate actively in team discussions and become a subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Python frameworks.
• At least 15 years of full‑time education.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to code quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Experience with web development libraries and tools.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
