Custom Software Engineer

About the role

As a Custom Software Engineer you will design, code, and enhance bespoke software components across various systems and applications. Working with modern frameworks and agile practices, you will deliver scalable, high‑performing solutions that meet specific business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently and become a subject‑matter expert in custom software development.
• Participate actively in team discussions and contribute to problem‑solving.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate project requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain and improve existing software, identifying enhancement opportunities.
• Document designs, processes, and code to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and best‑practice advice.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Python.
• At least 15 years of full‑time education.
• Based in Chennai and able to work onsite.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with Snowflake schema design.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and debugging techniques.
• Ability to optimise code for performance and scalability.
