Culinary Associate

About the role

The Culinary Associate supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in a busy hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Prepare and cook hot and cold foods, ensuring quality, presentation and food safety standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor temperature of appliances and food items.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and clean/disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related food‑service or kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
