Creative Fragrance Manager - Personal Care

About the role

Givaudan is looking for a Creative Fragrance Manager for its Personal Care category in Mumbai. The role covers Bar Soaps, Shower Gel Liquids, Haircare and Skincare (excluding FF) and involves setting olfactory direction for clients and markets, managing complex fragrance briefs and leading projects from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement olfactory strategies tailored to clients, markets and categories, giving clear guidance to Perfumery teams.
• Manage and execute multiple complex briefs, developing or selecting fragrances while collaborating with commercial, marketing and consumer insights teams.
• Work with regional Creative Centers as needed to deliver projects.
• Define the fragrances to be tested and coordinate evaluation activities with the consumer insights team.
• Analyze CMI results and turn them into actionable olfactory guidelines for perfumers.
• Keep up to date with market dynamics, consumer preferences and emerging olfactory trends in personal care.
• Engage consumers and clients on briefs, technical matters and project topics.
• Lead large, complex projects from inception to completion with creative excellence and on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 6 to 15 years of experience in fragrance evaluation, ideally with strong exposure to Personal Care.
• Experience managing complex projects and working with global or regional networks.
• Proven ability to translate consumer data into meaningful fragrance directions.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience in multicultural, cross-functional environments.

Required skills

• Strong olfactory expertise and functional knowledge of fragrance development processes.
• Technical knowledge of fragrance behaviour across Fine Fragrance, Personal Care and Air Care applications (stability, base interactions, compliance).
• Excellent organization and time management, with autonomy and ownership.
• Good communication and presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
