Creative Content Writer for Youth Empowerment Project

About the role

Girl Effect India is seeking an experienced creative content writer to join its programme and content team on a remote, 4‑5 month consultancy. The role focuses on producing engaging, youth‑centred content that supports a large‑scale project empowering adolescent girls and young women across India.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality written content for digital platforms, including articles, social media posts, scripts, and educational materials.
• Collaborate with the content team to ensure messaging aligns with Girl Effect’s mission and audience needs.
• Research topics related to health, nutrition, education, and relationships to create accurate and relevant material.
• Adapt tone and style to resonate with adolescent girls and young women while maintaining brand consistency.
• Deliver drafts and final pieces within agreed timelines and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in content writing, preferably for youth or development audiences.
• Strong understanding of gender advocacy and empowerment themes.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Excellent command of English language and storytelling skills.
