CP&O Specialist – Global Function Controlling

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy as a CP&O Specialist supporting Global Function heads, managers and Finance Business Partners. You will manage finance data, build dashboards and drive automation initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, visualization and analytics that enable effective planning, forecasting and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead FP&A analytical services, designing, implementing and maintaining automated tools and reports.
• Provide semi‑automated, manual and ad‑hoc analytical outputs for the business.
• Oversee functional controlling activities including budgeting, cost control, charging mechanisms, tax compliance and business partnering.
• Drive continuous process improvements, standardisation and innovation across finance functions.
• Manage stakeholder interactions, review process inefficiencies and participate in regional/global improvement projects.
• Ensure end‑to‑end process management, performance steering and knowledge sharing.
• Govern systems and master data such as charts of accounts and Business Warehouse tools.
• Maintain compliance with external and internal regulations and uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values.

Required profile

• CA or CMA qualification.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling or FP&A.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Exposure to SAP.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Basic knowledge of SQL (plus).
• Interest in automation and emerging technologies (AI/ML) in finance.
