Cost Engineer – Electronics

About the role

As a Cost Engineer in the Electronics division, you will work closely with product development, purchasing and sourcing teams to drive cost‑effective design and production of automotive electronic components. You will be part of a young, agile team that supports Bosch’s commitment to operational excellence and digitalisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain target cost models and financial simulations for early‑stage product designs, enabling proactive cost control.
• Perform greenfield and brownfield cost calculations for new and existing parts, improving cost competitiveness.
• Analyse technical changes, translate them into cost impacts and challenge supplier pricing to achieve cost transparency.
• Lead process automation and data‑accuracy initiatives for the cost engineering function, supporting real‑time decision making.
• Standardise cost analysis methods for the semiconductor division to ensure consistent and efficient evaluations.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication.
• 3‑5 years of experience in the automotive industry or a related field.
• Hands‑on knowledge of electronics components manufacturing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing.
