Corporate Development Associate - M&A Team Lead, India

About the role

Trimble is looking for a Corporate Development & Ventures Associate to act as the founding team lead of its India-based Corporate Development team, which supports the North American team. The role sits at the heart of Trimble's inorganic growth strategy, covering acquisitions, partnerships and venture investments. You will lead one or two analysts in India while working directly with senior corporate development leaders globally, combining hands-on modelling and analysis with team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own financial models (3-statement, DCF, comparable company, transaction analysis, LBO, scenario analysis) and prepare investment memos and analytical summaries
• Analyse unit economics, margins and capital efficiency, and assess deal structures, valuation ranges and strategic fit
• Develop investment presentations, board materials and executive briefings, and build repeatable templates
• Own the CRM pipeline, design deal workflows with stage gates and scoring criteria, and standardise analytical playbooks
• Use AI tools and automation to improve pipeline management, and flag stalled deals and decision points
• Lead thematic research on industry trends, competition and funding activity, and maintain market maps and sector analyses
• Mentor and manage two analysts, assigning workstreams, giving feedback and supporting their professional development

Required profile

• 8-10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting or corporate development
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field; MBA or CFA strongly preferred
• Prior experience managing or mentoring junior analysts strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal English, able to present complex analysis to senior audiences
