Cooling Tower Design Engineer (HVAC)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cooling Tower Design Engineer to join our team in Faridabad. The role involves thermal selection, heat‑load calculations, and the design of cross‑flow and counter‑flow cooling tower systems for HVAC applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thermal selection of cooling towers according to CTI‑201 standards for HVAC projects.
• Carry out heat‑load and thermal calculations following CTI‑201, ASHRAE and ISHRAE guidelines.
• Design, develop and analyse cross‑flow and counter‑flow cooling tower systems.
• Prepare and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for each project.
• Create and modify General Arrangement (GA) drawings and layout plans.
• Update cooling tower layouts as required.
• Produce technical documentation, design calculations, specifications and engineering reports.
• Develop and review drawings using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with production, project, sales and engineering teams to meet design requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable HVAC and cooling‑tower standards.
• Provide technical support for cooling‑tower applications and project execution.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in cooling‑tower design and HVAC applications.
• Strong knowledge of thermal selection, heat‑load calculations and relevant standards (CTI‑201, ASHRAE, ISHRAE).
• Hands‑on experience with both cross‑flow and counter‑flow cooling towers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of GA/layout drawings.
• Ability to prepare BOM/BOQ and comprehensive technical documentation.
