Controller / Manager – NetSuite (Hyderabad)

About the role

The Controller will lead end‑to‑end accounting activities for an operational consulting business, ensuring accurate financial tracking, timely billing, and reliable reporting. The role works closely with operations and consulting teams and reports to the US‑based CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, accruals, provisions and manage period‑end closing.
• Prepare client invoices for time‑material, milestone‑based or manpower‑utilisation projects and track receivables.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes and produce MIS, profitability and variance reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis against budget.
• Process vendor invoices, consultant payments, employee reimbursements and payroll coordination.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Drive process improvements and ERP migrations, particularly NetSuite implementations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in services/consulting or project‑based environments.
• B.Com, M.Com or MBA in Finance (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, receivables and reconciliations.
• Mandatory exposure to payroll processes and NetSuite ERP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with US‑based leadership.
• High attention to detail, ownership and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
