Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

This senior finance leadership position is based in India and is responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of financial operations across a growing, multi‑entity organization. The Controller will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing actionable insights that guide strategic decisions and support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month‑/year‑end close processes.
• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, including variance analysis and performance tracking against business goals.
• Provide financial insights, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision‑making and executive planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies across multiple entities.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls, financial processes, and governance frameworks to mitigate risk.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and banking relationships.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and ERP utilization to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Partner with business leaders to support financial accountability and company‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including senior or controller‑level responsibilities.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance management.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
