Controller – Finance Leadership (Remote, India)

About the role

This remote Controller position is based in India and offers a senior finance professional the chance to lead critical financial operations within a fast‑growing organization. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide accurate financial insights, strengthen controls, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, delivering variance analysis and recommendations.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and advise senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting standards and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, risk‑management practices and coordinate external audits.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and banking relationships.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects, including ERP enhancements and automation.
• Support system implementations and integrations to improve financial visibility.

Required profile

• CA designation preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager or similar senior finance role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
