Consultant General Physician – 300‑Bedded Multi‑Speciality Hospital

About the role

The hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant General Physician to join its 300‑bed multi‑speciality team in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh. The role involves managing both outpatient and inpatient services, as well as handling emergency cases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients with acute and chronic conditions.
• Diagnose and treat common medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, infections, and respiratory disorders.
• Stabilise critically ill and emergency patients, providing timely interventions.
• Review laboratory results, ECGs, and other diagnostics to formulate treatment plans.
• Perform pre‑operative medical evaluations and coordinate post‑operative care.
• Collaborate with specialists (cardiologists, neurologists, surgeons, etc.) for comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain accurate medical records, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in on‑call emergency duties as per the hospital roster.

Required profile

• MD or DNB in General Medicine with valid NMC/Uttar Pradesh Medical Council registration.
• Significant experience in OPD, IPD, and emergency medicine; senior‑level candidates preferred.
• Strong clinical decision‑making ability and professional, patient‑centred approach.
