Construction Equipment Mechanic with Electrical Skills

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic with strong electrical abilities to service, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of construction machinery and power tools across our project sites in Mangalore. The role requires hands‑on problem solving, independent fault diagnosis and ensuring equipment uptime with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in construction equipment.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on site, including pumps, electric motors and power tools.
• Service concrete vibrators, drilling machines, breaker/demolition machines, steel cutting machines and construction hoists.
• Maintain concrete/mortar mixers, pressure pumps and submersible pumps.
• Check and troubleshoot electrical connections, switches, cables, contactors, capacitors and starters.
• Carry out routine lubrication, replacement of worn parts and equipment adjustments.
• Attend equipment breakdowns promptly to minimise site downtime.
• Maintain basic records of repairs, servicing and spare‑part usage.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as a mechanic/maintenance technician in the building construction industry.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction equipment and power tools.
• Mandatory electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently, diagnose faults systematically and travel between project sites in Mangalore.
• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter, Electrician or related trade preferred.
