Configuration Management Engineer (Airframe)

About the role

Airbus India is seeking an Airframe Configuration Management Engineer to join its Configuration Management & DMU Integration team in Bangalore. The role focuses on driving aircraft change processes related to cabin customisations and design improvements, offering exposure to a variety of airframe projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate modification management, feasibility studies, and change requests for airframe and cabin upgrades.
• Manage the aircraft change process, including MOD, TRS, DQN and catalogue updates.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, configure, design and integrate cabin modules.
• Maintain product structure navigation within DMU and ensure accurate linking of PDM/VPM data to CAD models.
• Track performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement in configuration management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cabin or airframe engineering, configuration management or in‑service upgrades.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, transnational environment and to coordinate large, multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Airframe engineering – electrical or mechanical system installation, structural design.
• Cabin customisation engineering and cabin module development.
• Aircraft configuration management (MOD process, TRS, DQN, change requests).
• DMU navigation and product structure understanding.
• Proficiency with PDM/VPM tools and CAD model integration.
