Compliance Officer

About the role

As a Compliance Officer for the Indian Sub‑continent Zone (ISC) at Philips, you will develop and deploy the zone compliance programme and advise the business on legal compliance matters. You will also coordinate investigations reported through SpeakUp and other channels, helping to strengthen Philips’ global market compliance programme.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual Zone compliance programme, including ISC Compliance Program 2.0 and India compliance enhancements.
• Monitor execution through the ISC Compliance Committee, track remediation actions and maintain documentation.
• Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and translate findings into controls, training and monitoring activities.
• Provide legal compliance advice on anti‑bribery, healthcare, competition, privacy, export controls and other relevant risks.
• Lead investigations arising from SpeakUp reports, prepare objective reports and coordinate remediation actions.

Required profile

• Law degree from a recognised institution; qualification or enrolment to practise law in at least one ISC jurisdiction.
• 5–13 years of relevant experience in legal compliance, investigations or as a compliance officer, preferably in a multinational regulated industry.
• Sound knowledge of anti‑bribery, competition and healthcare compliance requirements applicable within ISC.
• Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional ISC languages is a plus.
