Communications Specialist, India

About the role

BRAC International is looking for a Communications Specialist to join its work in India, supporting the development and dissemination of communications and knowledge content that shares programme and field experiences, partnerships, evidence and learning with diverse audiences. Reporting to the Program Advisor on Partnerships and Strategic Communications, the specialist works closely with programme teams and partners to build high-quality written and visual content, strengthen BRAC India's digital and social media presence, document field stories and turn programme learning into accessible communications products. This is a full-time position based in New Delhi with regular in-person office hours.

Key responsibilities

• Edit and proofread reports, briefs, case studies, learning notes and other publications, keeping language, tone and branding consistent.
• Draft, edit and adapt programme content into clear communication products for government, development partners, donors and wider sector audiences.
• Develop presentations, factsheets and visual materials, coordinating with designers where needed.
• Carry out field visits to document programme experiences, participant and coach journeys and implementation learnings through interviews, photos, short videos and written accounts.
• Work with programme and state teams to find communications opportunities and gather accurate information, data, photos and stories.
• Develop and publish content for digital and social media channels.

Required profile

• Strong writing and creative communication skills.
• An eye for detail and a keen interest in using communications to support social change.
