Communication & Culture Specialist – Digital Hub

About the role

We are looking for a Communication & Culture Specialist to join the BASF Digital Hub in Hyderabad. The role will support the Hub’s vision by driving internal and external communications, change initiatives and cultural programs that reinforce our digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute communication and change activities aligned with the Hub’s business goals and the global Digital Services strategy.
• Manage all internal and external channels – news feeds, intranet, social media, LinkedIn and event communications – to ensure consistent messaging and strong employer branding.
• Plan, organise and run end‑to‑end onsite and virtual events that promote culture, foster collaboration and showcase technology initiatives.
• Act as a cultural ambassador, championing diversity, inclusion, digitalisation priorities and advising leaders on best practices.
• Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication and change programmes, adjusting content based on feedback and business needs.
• Collaborate with local and regional BASF communication networks and ensure compliance with Indian regulations and local platform trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Change Management or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in communication, event organisation or social‑media management, preferably in a multicultural or digital environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to create concepts and content relevant to the local context.
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, curiosity to question the status‑quo and ability to engage diverse audiences.
