Commis – Full‑time Food & Beverage Role

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis to join our Food & Beverage team at a Marriott hotel in Pune. This full‑time, non‑management position supports the kitchen operations by preparing meals, maintaining quality standards, and assisting the Chef during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold foods and substitute items following recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, maintain food logs and ensure proper portioning and garnish.
• Communicate assistance needs, inform staff of menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food for daily specials.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as required.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report maintenance issues and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb.
