Commis Chef – Indian Tandoor (Dehradun)

About the role

We are seeking a Commis Chef specialized in Indian Tandoor to join The Mad Molecule Cafe & Restro in Dehradun. The candidate will prepare high-quality Indian and Tandoor dishes while maintaining consistency, hygiene and presentation standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Indian Tandoor dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Handle day-to-day Tandoor operations efficiently, ensuring consistency in taste, portion size, quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and Tandoor section, following food safety and kitchen safety standards.
• Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations, ingredient storage and handling, and manage kitchen requirements during busy service hours.
• Minimise food wastage, maintain proper portion control and coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commi 3 / Tandoor Chef in a restaurant, café, hotel or similar establishment.
• Good knowledge of Indian Tandoor and Indian cuisine.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Good teamwork and communication skills, willingness to learn and take responsibility.
